Elbaite

Elbaite is a lithium-rich tourmaline characteristic of lithium-rich pegmatites. They form transitions with skoryl. It has various colors, and its color varieties are referred to by separate names. Pink to red tourmaline is referred to as rubelite, green verdelite, blue indigolite, colorless achroite. In the case of such colored tourmalines, however, it may not always be elbaite. Other types of tourmalines are also colored, especially liddicoatite Ca (Li2Al) Al6 (BO3) 3Si6O18 (OH) 3F, which is usually pink, green, green-brown to yellow-brown, also some uvites (formula for the word predate) can be green or red, colored are and other types of tourmalines.
