Alexandrite comes from Russia, the Central Urals region from the locality of Malyshevo. Alexandrite is overgrown in phlogopite rock, the dimensions of this sample are 3,6 x 2,8 x 2,05 cm. Alexandrite is a rare mineral from the beryl group, it has a green-blue, glassy shiny, translucent, nicely crystallized compound, it changes color on daylight and artificial UV lighting.
