Dyscrasite

Dyscrasite is a rare silver antimonide and this is a truly magnificent example in the shape of a wild boar. Dyscrasite is from Uranium Mine No. 21, at Háje, in the Příbram mining district of the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic

Dyscrasite

The mineral Dyskrazit would be named from the Greek word dyskrasis which means bad mixture. Dyscrasite is a rhombic mineral, a natural alloy of antimony and silver, t = 3.5-4, h = 9.4-10. It occurred on ore veins, in the Czech Republic it was found in large crystals on uranium deposits near Příbram. I also know from Morocco and Broken Hill in Australia.
