Euchroite

The name Euchroit comes from the Greek euchroia - a beautiful color. It is formed by the decomposition of chalcopyrite and tetrahedrite. It occurs in the form of crystalline crusts and coatings or forms small short columnar crystals in quartz cracks and mica shales. The color is emerald green. In Slovakia, it occurs in Ľubietová, from where it was first described, and in Poniky. At the same time, Ľubietová comes from the most beautiful crystals of this mineral in the world.
