Silver

Silver is a noble metal, chemical brand Ag. From the Latin name argentum (derived from the Greek argos = glossy, white). It has been used since ancient times. It was most often used in minting as currency. In nature, it occurs mostly in compounds, rarely as a pure metal. It most often creates twisted wires, often intertwined with each other, as well as sheets, plates, bark, coatings, and rarely crystals. It is silvery white and yellows, browns or black on the surface. It occurs on hydrothermal ore veins rich in Ag or as a product of decomposition of sulfide ores in supergene zones.
