Nice pearceites were found in Peru, Lima Department, Uchucchacua mine. Pearceites have a gray metallic luster, a monoclinic crystal system, the largest crystal reaches a size of 0,55 cm.

Pearceit was named in honor of the American chemist Richard Peace (1837 - 1927). Pearceite forms monoclinic metallic shiny crystals or earthy aggregates.
