The mineral Boleit comes from Mexico from the Amelia Mine deposit, where it was also first described. Boleite forms a deep dark blue, translucent, glassy shiny cubic crystal, reaching a size of approximately 6 mm, which grows into a mixture of tectonic clay, gypsum and Anglesite.

Boleit was named after the site of the Boleo find, near Santa Rosalia, Baja California. This silver mineral creates beautiful blue cubic crystals.
